Makes Â 1 small mason jar of mix
Â¼Â cup blackberry puree
Â¼ cup blackberry sage syrup*
Â½ cup lemon juice
Â¼ Â cup limoncello
Â¼ cup elderflower liquor
Sparkling RoseLemony Sage Sugar*
Place all the ingredients except sparking rose and sugar in a blender and blend until smooth.Â Strain and chill.Â Place Â½ ounce of the puree in a champagne flute and fill with sparkling rose.Â Garnish with a blackberry rolled in the Lemony Sage Sugar in the glass and a floating sage leaf.
*Blackberry Sage Syrup- combine Â½ cup sugar. Â½ cup water, 3 blackberries smashed, 4 sage leaves, ripped,1 teaspoonÂ lemon zest.Â Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain and chill.
*Lemony Sage Sugar- combineÂ 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar, 2 teaspoons lemon zest and 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh sage and moisten with lemon bitters or lemon juice.Â Mix well.
